Business Description

Cysiam is a founder-led cyber security consultancy and managed services provider. The business provides advanced technical cyber consultancy solutions to the most secure aspects of governments globally, alongside a managed service offering to public and private sector customers within the UK – typically with clients with global supply chain exposure or critical infrastructure dependencies.

Background

Cyber Security services has been a sub-sector focus area for NorthEdge since 2021. In 2026, the UK cyber security services market is sized at £5.3bn and is experiencing growth in excess of 10% per annum.

Cysiam is globally recognised for deploying ex-government and military experts to build cyber resilience capabilities, as well as supporting complex international development and national infrastructure security projects. This has enabled the business to achieve rapid growth over three years prior to our investment.

The investment was funded from NorthEdge Fund IV and was led by Jon Pickering, Dan Matkin, Aiden Hawkes and Andy Royle.

The deal builds on NorthEdge’s strong technology track record, representing our 20^th technology investment and our second in the Cyber Security space.

Strategy

We are backing David Allan (CEO and Co-founder) and his team, to build a national cyber services business of scale providing high complexity solutions.

Our investment will support Cysiam to create further capacity to meet market demand; refine and enhance it’s go-to-market strategy; accelerate the AI & automation roadmap to build an agentic SOC capability; and invest in systems and processes to enable data-driven decision making. To supplement the organic growth, we also plan to execute a targeted M&A strategy to accelerate scale.
