Supporting Charities Within our Regions

Last week, Team NorthEdge hosted two events to raise awareness and money for two incredible charities.

Charity Golf Day

We hosted our annual Charity Golf Day at the Wilmslow Golf Club, in support of the National Brain Appeal – Rare Dementia Support (RDS).

On the day we welcomed over 20 teams and 75 golfers to the course. Following a full day of golf, we hosted a charity dinner and raffle, alongside a Q&A with special guest Mike Gatting.

We would like to thank Wilmslow Golf Club for once again hosting the event, giving us access to a great course and for providing an excellent dinner in the evening. Our thanks also go to ITC who donated a very generous raffle prize for a second year running, this time offering an amazing three-night holiday for two at the Conrad Algarve in Portugal, a fantastic golf destination, to a lucky winner.

We would also like to thank all who attended the event and our corporate sponsors & friends who paid for the entry fees, provided raffle prizes or had given their services free of charge to maximise the funds we raised for RDS.

The event was a great success, and we are delighted to have raised over £31,000 for Rare Dementia Support, a charity which helps support world leading centres for the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with neurological and neuromuscular conditions.

Day in the Dales

The following day, teams from across our network attended our Day in the Dales event in support of Yorkshire Children’s Charity – a charity that helps children across Yorkshire, where one third of children live in poverty, who are at a disadvantage in life due to disability, ill health, or financial circumstance.

Over 50 people walked 10 miles across the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside around Burnsall, networking and enjoying team building, before ending in the Red Lion for a well-deserved pub lunch.

We managed to raise £9,000 for the charity on the day, we would like to say a big thank you to Yorkshire Children’s Charity for organising and hosting the event on our behalf.

Both events were a great success and helped us raise over £40,000 to support these fantastic charities.

The events were also a great way for Team NorthEdge to finish Volunteer’s Week, following the announcement of our latest partnership with impact platform and employee volunteering tool, OnHand.

Our overall charitable mission is to support charities in our regions that are aligned to our values, aligned to our DE&I strategy and support people to get into/progress their careers and/or education. With the use of OnHand as a new partnership tool, we’re looking forward to implementing the platform throughout June – watch this space for updates on our missions.
