NorthEdge Mission Christmas – Round 2!

NorthEdge Mission Christmas – Round 2!

This year we have been delighted once again to see the efforts from across our business and portfolio, with people going above and beyond in support of our environment, colleagues and communities.

From a sustainability perspective, Prohire have been supporting customers with the transition to alternative fuel vehicles through their ProGreen proposition, Lights4fun have updated their packaging to be more sustainable alongside continuing to expand their solar product range, and Clearly Drinks have been awarded their ISO 14001 environmental system management accreditation, demonstrating their commitment to sustainability.

Like us, our portfolio companies take their role as responsible employers seriously. Cloud Technology Solutions have partnered with several organisations and networks to promote an inclusive culture and provide equal opportunities in the workplace. Meanwhile Correla have introduced several initiatives to positively benefit their people, from signing the Mindful Employer Charter to support their people’s mental health, to partnering with the Women in Technology Mentoring Programme to support and grow their female talent.

Finally in terms of supporting local communities, Cutwel delivered 1,000 wellbeing journals to schools alongside charity Andy’s Man Club to encourage pupils to look after their mental health, and members of team Total Fitness ran the Sandstone Ultra Marathon to raise money in support of NorthEdge’s March March earlier this year.

From our own point of view, we were proud to raise over £35,000 through NorthEdge’s March March in support of the Trafford General Hospital Intermediate Neurological Rehab Unit, however we also recognised that Christmas can be a difficult time for people across our regions – especially with the effects of the pandemic still being felt by many.

That’s why we were proud to run our Mission Christmas campaign for the second year in a row, supporting Wood Street Mission in Manchester, Birmingham City Mission in the Midlands and the JCI Secret Santa appeal in Yorkshire. This year team NorthEdge collectively donated over 650 gifts and selection boxes!

Our support alongside many others will ensure that thousands of children across Manchester, Yorkshire and Birmingham will have something special to open on Christmas Day.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for everyone’s efforts and support this past year – we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2022!
