Maggie’s Charity Golf Day raises £45,000

On Tuesday of this week NorthEdge hosted a charity golf event at The Wilmslow Golf Club in aid of Maggie’s, a charity providing cancer support and information in centres across the UK and online.

The charity provides free practical, emotional and social support to those living with cancer, as well as their family and friends. Whether it’s in the form of a support group, a workshop or just simply a chat, Maggie’s offer a vital service to support anyone who has been affected by cancer – and we are fortunate to have a local Maggie’s in Manchester near the Christie Hospital.

With 18 teams taking to the course everyone enjoyed a full day’s golf in the unbroken sunshine, followed by a charity dinner. We would like to thank The Belfield Group for sponsoring the event, Pimberly for sponsoring the half-way house, all of the local professional firms who supported us and everyone else who contributed on the day. All in all we are delighted to say that we have raised an incredible £45,000! Thanks too to The Wilmslow Golf club for being such great hosts.

Grant Berry, Managing Partner of NorthEdge said: “We are very grateful for all the support we have received from across our network and portfolio for this charity event. We are proud of the small part we have played to ensure Maggie’s can continue supporting people who are facing an incredibly difficult time. Thank you again to all involved for the fundraising efforts and for a brilliant day!”
