In March, Team NorthEdge attended the inaugural Champions for Children gala dinner at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, in aid of Foundation 92 and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The evening was hosted by presenters, Jenny Powell and Hits Radio DJ and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity Patron, Mike Toolan. Over 400 guests attended and enjoyed a three-course meal, charity silent auction, raffle, and live entertainment.

The event is the first that has been planned by both the charities and will help to raise funds for Foundation 92’s community programmes as well as funds for life-changing projects for patients under the care of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, including the hospital’s dedicated Youth Service program, which supports patients aged 11 and over with long-term health conditions, and the hospital’s inpatient Mental Health Unit, funding workshops that use music and creative expression to build confidence, self-esteem and re-establish identity.

Overall, the event raised over £260,000 and we are incredibly proud to have played a part in supporting these charities and helping to raise funds for life-changing projects that will offer vital services to young people and children across the North West.

Foundation 92

Founded by the Class of 92 and based in Salford, Foundation 92 is a charity that works across the North West with a number of community groups. It aims to improve lives through sport and education with a focus on positive physical and mental wellbeing.

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is the largest children’s hospital in the UK, serving over 285,000 children and young people across Manchester and the North West each year.
