Portfolio Spotlight: Prohire, a brand fit for the Future of Fleet

We’re delighted to see portfolio company Prohire leading the charge on sustainable transport through its ProGreen proposition, supporting clients build fleets fit for the future. The ProGreen proposition focuses on this from an alternative fuels perspective, offering consultative advice, site reviews, surveys, installation, training, and telematic solutions as the industry, and the wider world, move into this sphere.

To support this focus, Prohire has undertaken a complete rebrand with one of our operating partners to enable them to better communicate how they can help customers reach their own sustainability goals and lead the charge as the UK’s most trusted provider of vehicle rental within the alternative fuels market.

The rebrand symbolises a key shift in Prohire’s approach, infusing ProGreen and additional brands under the umbrella of Prohire Group to offer national fleet management solutions across all industries, demonstrating their commitment and focus on helping customers build fleets that are fit for the future in a constantly evolving market.

Additional propositions include Profleet for fully-dedicated fleet support; Proflex for flexible fleet management either long- or short-term; Procare for all-inclusive fleet maintenance and management; and Protrux for used commercial vehicle sales.

Our operating partner, Applied Creative, supported on the brand re-design and website for this transition, commenting:

“The recreation of Prohire’s brand involved seamlessly incorporating numerous sub-brands into a cohesive and forward-thinking design. Collaborating with Prohire and NorthEdge, strategic research on industry competitors was undertaken, we streamlined offerings, with a specific focus on Prohire’s ProGreen proposition as the forefront of sustainable fleets. The creative process centred around a circle, symbolising a holistic approach, and a gradient to highlight movement and forward-thinking. The resulting brand captures Prohire’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership in the ever-changing landscape of fleet management.”

Transport systems are a key area to implement change as part of reaching the global net zero targets set out in the Paris Agreement.

ProGreen supports its clients to take positive steps towards a greener future by reducing their carbon emissions, future-proofing their fleet of vehicles (HGVs & LCVs) and allowing them to take advantage of reduced operating costs and government incentives. The proposition for fleet transition and supporting customers includes:

  • Advising on the most appropriate alternative fuel vehicles which are then built and supplied on full contract hire packages.
  • Undertaking infrastructure site reviews to future-proof locations in order to support alternative fuel vehicles.
  • Carrying out location surveys, costings, grant support, installation, and commissioning to lead on ‘dynamic’ charging solutions for electric vehicles.
  • Implementing a telematic solution which can determine the suitability of transitioning from diesel to electric, along with monitoring driver behaviour for range optimisation.
  • Offering full training capabilities, both at customer locations and at their ProCademy Training Centre. Sessions include driver training, vehicle training, range optimisation, charging at the site and out on the network, and telematic training.
