Today marks International Men’s Day – an opportunity for us all to raise awareness of men’s health and wellbeing, and to promote a positive conversation around mental health.
Mental health is something that affects all of us and by making a commitment to work together, we can ensure we take the necessary steps to address mental health in a proactive way.
At NorthEdge the mental health of the colleagues in our business and portfolio is something we take very seriously. During the last twelve months we have implemented a number initiatives to ensure we are doing what we can to maintain and improve the mental health and wellbeing in our teams, including holding workshops with mental health experts, collaborating with Sanctus to discuss how we can pro-actively shift to encouraging mental fitness in the workplace, increasing the number of mental health first aiders in our business and across the portfolio, sharing best practice and ideas from our companies, and becoming one of the first private equity firms to become signatories of the Mindful Employer Charter.
To support this further, and in recognition of International Men’s Day, members of the NorthEdge team have selected a list of resources and tools to help us manage our own mental health and to learn more about how to support those around us.
