In this episode of Beyond the Capital, we spoke to Phil Frame, Partner at NorthEdge.

Phil has been part of the NorthEdge team for more than ten years. He has been responsible for a range of deals across the North West since joining NorthEdge in 2012, and currently sits on the boards of our portfolio businesses, Helios and Meet.

Originally from Blackpool, Phil joined KPMG in auditing after graduating from Manchester with an Economics degree. After qualifying in 2008, Phil made his move to global investment bank, Altium (now part of Houlihan Lokey).

As NorthEdge was formed, Phil met with Grant, Andy & Ray at our first office in the Northern Quarter, Manchester and decided to take a chance and join the team as an investment executive. Over the years, Phil has worked his way up the ranks of NorthEdge, being made Partner in 2022, and has watched the business grow from a team of six to more than 30 employees today.

In this episode, Phil looks back on the highs and lows of his career in the private equity industry, how NorthEdge has grown over the years, and shares his advice to management teams and founders.
