In our latest episode of Beyond the Capital we spoke to Rob Sinclair, CEO of Altia.

Rob started his career at UPS working in IT support within the corporate team. During his time there he was able to travel the world living in places such as Germany and Budapest, whilst also working on several interesting projects which included  the London Olympics in 2012.

Over the course of the next few years, Rob had joined two separate manufacturing companies as Operations Manager, which was largely driven by his desire to understand how to run a business and the levers you can pull to make it successful. During his time in these roles, Rob was able to develop his commercial expertise and build out his people skills as he managed several people from different backgrounds.

Later down the line Rob was headhunted by Altia, joining the business as Operations Manager in 2017, primarily to support with the integration of ABM, a specialist intelligence software developer that Altia had just acquired. Within twelve months Rob worked his way up to the role of Operations Director and then CEO, just in time for NorthEdge’s investment into the business in November 2020.
