It has been a busy start to 2023, completing the sales of both Cloud Technology Solutions and Future Industrial Services, investing into leading human capital management (HCM) software provider Cezanne, and supporting portfolio companies CMap and Altia to complete strategic bolt-on acquisitions.

We launched our third annual ESG report, looking back at the highlights from 2022 across our business and portfolio, as well as outlining our commitments for the year ahead. We also became the world’s first private equity firm to achieve Gold Carbon Literate Organisation status from the Carbon Literacy Project.

We won several across the period, with judges praising our approach to ESG and DE&I, as well as our commitment to promoting a culture of collaboration across our portfolio. Four portfolio companies also featured in the Northern Tech Awards Top 100 – a list tracking the fastest growing tech companies in the North.

We have continued to invest in our portfolio, organising another in-person forum for CEOs in the portfolio, alongside continuing to share insights and best practice on our digital community platform, Nexus. We have also been pleased with the charitable fundraising efforts across our business and portfolio, supporting vital charities within our regions – so far raising and donating £150,000 to charities across our regions.
